Krav Maga

Krav Maga is considered by many experts to be the most devastating fighting system in the world. You’ll learn to defeat attackers (even multiple attackers) armed with knives, guns, bottles, sticks, baseball bats, etc. Additionally, you’ll learn how to debilitate your opponent immediately irrespective of his size, training background or experience level. Most importantly, you’ll see immediate results. Fitness training is also a huge part of this course.

The system is based on simple and reflexive moves that will save your life! The effectiveness of the techniques has been battle tested time and time again. Krav Maga is taught to the most elite commando units and SWAT forces in Israel and around the world. Most importantly, you’ll also be training your mind to be a winner as you will be able to confidently handle any of life’s innumerable challenges.

Krav Maga in Hebrew means ‘contact combat’ or ‘contact fighting’ and the term is generic in the same sense that the term ‘self-defense’ is. “Reality Not Sport” – There are no tournaments in Krav Maga. It is a reality-based system of self defense meant for survival. As such, there are no rules or regulations for Krav Maga tactics. It is based on principles similar to guerilla warfare – engage the enemy quickly, create as much damage as possible in a short period of time. Techniques include eye gouges, groin strikes, biting, striking the throat and other effective tactics. We train under realistic situations that you would encounter in the street. Training includes dealing with surprise attacks, multiple attackers and attackers with weapons, ground survival, and strikers. The pressure test is a live action drill we use in Krav Maga to simulate realistic street confrontations. Krav Maga is based on simple and reflexive moves. It has been proven that under extreme stress, any movement that involves more than 2 gross motor skills most likely won’t work. As well, it is very hard to remember any technique that involves more than 5 or 6 components. That’s why the techniques in Krav Maga is designed to be simple and effective.
